ACTION ACADEMY RULES & POLICIES
CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

We always prefer the opportunity to resolve issues through accountability, resolution and communication. That said we know that sometimes there are also reasons that a change is needed and the only option is a refund or a credit. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, have a family emergency or other unique situation that needs attention, please contact our office support team to support, find resolve and/or follow through on our promise to help correct a problem, improve, make a change or better serve your family. In the event that we can not resolve the problem, we typically issue a credit for any unused services.
Action Academy will apply credits, partial or full refunds in accordance with the following Refund Policy:
-Refund requests are date sensitive and will not be accepted after the month/session has ended.
-Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment.
Credits are transferable and do not expire.
Classes/ Clinics and Camps:
- Annual Anniversary/Registration fees are non-refundable once participation/enrollment has started and 2 classes or 1 camp week have been completed.
-If enrollment has not started, new members are eligible for a full refund of the Action Academy registration/Anniversary fee.
-If the session/program//class/camp has not started and a tuition refund is requested, there will be a prorated refund for the "used" time of the session/program//class/camp. There will also be a $20.00 admin fee applied. There is no Admin fee where credit is issued.
-No refunds will be offered after the 3rd class of the month/ 3rd camp weekday has started, and only partial credits will be issued to be used on future classes.
-If Action Academy cancels the session/program/class/camp, members will receive a full refund or credit. No admin fee will be applied.
-In case of a Covid-19 gym closure a credit will be issued of all paid tuition and unused class/camp/clinic/party time.
-The only exception to this policy is for withdrawals due to medical reasons when a valid doctor’s note has been submitted or a family emergency to management. In this case, there would be no admin fee applied and a refund or credit will be issued.

COVID-19 UPDATE 8/15/21
The purpose of this notice is to provide you with information on Action Academy’s procedures and practices in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.
We are following the recommendations and guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the World Health Organization (WHO), and all State Departments of Health. Our primary goal is to protect our students and families while minimizing any disruption to our classes and programs. In the facility, we are taking appropriate precautions, including but not limited to: following CDC recommendations for cleaning, encouraging the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, 20-second hand washing, reinforcing proper cough and sneezing etiquette.
CDC Recommendations for Action Academy are as follows:
-
Requesting all visitors to center to clean hands properly upon entering the premises
-
All spectators, visitor and non-participants must wear a facial covering while mandated by the City of Moorpark/Ventura county COVID-19 Mandates until otherwise noted.
-
Providing hand sanitizers and disposable masks on premises
-
Promoting acceptance and inclusivity without harassment to all participants, spectators, staff, and visitors.
-
Conducting regular wipe downs of high-touch areas several times a day (including door handles, bathroom fixtures, desktops, equipment, etc.)
-
Additional sanitizing of all equipment, mats, carpeted areas and the air pit each evening
-
Providing air purifiers in closed spaces, hallways, classrooms.
If necessary, we will close the center in alignment with City of Moorpark recommendations. In the event that the facility will need to close, we will be sending you information on our plan for make-up classes, proration or credits.
Helping to minimize the exposure to the virus requires a committed partnership with you. We would like to highlight the following important reminders to our families and students on everyday preventive actions to help minimize the spread of viruses, including the following recommendations:
Notify the center of any known or suspected influenza and/or COVID-19 exposure in your household.
Keep your child at home if they are exhibiting cold, virus or influenza-like symptoms, including fever, congestion, sore throat, cough, and/or shortness of breath.
If your child is ill, your child cannot return to the facility until your child is fever-free without fever-reducing medication for at least a 72-hour period (fever is defined as any temperature above 100.4 F).
Please also reinforce the following preventative care while at Action as a participant, visitor or spectator:
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
-
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then dispose of the tissue.
-
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects.
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Thank you for partnering with Action Academy. For additional information regarding COVID-2019 and its impact on children, please refer to the CDC information page as well as the references that are included here.
